(Manifesto)

Eight years of shipping software for airlines, travel giants and enterprise clients taught me one thing: everything is a system. Data flows, supply chains, capital. Design them with care and they compound. That is the work, on both sides of my life.

01

Engineering

APIs, event streams & enterprise integration at scale.

02

Business

Wholesale, distribution, e-commerce & long-term capital.

Chapter 01Engineering2016 — Now

Code that carries weight.

Gabriel Țintărescu in a white shirt

Full-stack engineer turned enterprise consultant. I design the services that sit behind flight bookings, financial messaging and real-time data platforms, where downtime is not an option.

I started coding in high school, shipping freelance products for clients in Australia and South Korea. Since then I have built for Emirates in Dubai, Amadeus in Nice and enterprise clients at Endava, across Java, Spring, Quarkus, Kafka, Angular, React, Flutter and Kotlin.

  1. Designing and delivering scalable solutions for enterprise clients, focused on API management, event-driven architectures and data integration platforms. I work through both pre-sales and delivery: proofs of concept, technical architecture, and guiding teams to production-ready services.

    • Built a pre-sales PoC with Kong API Gateway and a custom Lua plugin that ingests ISO financial messages and routes them straight into Apache Kafka topics.
    • Built a real-time integration framework that consumes Debezium CDC events from Oracle and turns them into domain-specific models for microservices.
    • Enabled event-driven pipelines that feed enterprise CRM systems with reliable change propagation.

  2. Core backend team at Emirates' Dubai headquarters, building the enterprise services behind global flight booking, ticketing and reservations.

    • Developed core Spring REST APIs used across Emirates' digital platforms for bookings, reservations and ticketing.
    • Engineered services that talk to mission-critical mainframe systems over the IBM WOLA bridge, enabling real-time ALCS interactions.
    • Served in a monthly on-call rotation, resolving incidents that affected airport check-ins and flight operations worldwide.

  3. Built a new Order Management System at the world's leading travel technology company. It streamlines flight bookings and lets travellers buy a wide range of services and products. I worked remotely for Amadeus in Nice through Thales.

    • Designed high-performance Quarkus microservices within a service-oriented, event-driven architecture.
    • Used Apache Kafka for real-time streaming and asynchronous event processing.
    • Built responsive Angular front-ends and tools; ran CI/CD and observability with Jenkins, Grafana and Splunk.

  4. Joined Thales full-time and received targeted technical training for large-scale enterprise projects.

    • Completed hands-on training and certification in Angular and Apache Kafka.
    • Took part in internal workshops and bootcamps aligned with enterprise engineering standards.

  5. Helped architect and build a mobile startup app and a web platform for a large-scale online marketplace.

    • Native Android apps in Java and Kotlin; a cross-platform app in Flutter.
    • Feature-rich web applications in React; code reviews and architecture planning in a Kanban workflow.

  6. Started in high school, out of a genuine love of building. I delivered tailored software for small and mid-sized businesses across industries, working closely with each client from brief to launch.

    • AgForest Australia: Spring Boot backend and native Android app for a digital newsstand.
    • NFLABS Korea: social platform for Korean cultural content (Spring, PostgreSQL, Angular, Android).

Chapter 02BusinessCapital & Commerce

Capital, put to work.

Beyond software, I am an active investor and operator. I'm drawn to businesses where the edge is operational: buying right, moving product efficiently, and selling through channels that scale.

A degree in Business Administration taught me the theory: statistics, econometrics and how markets behave. Engineering taught me how to build systems that don't break. I bring both to every deal.

“Margin is made at purchase. Scale is made in the systems behind it.”

(Focus)

  1. 01

    Wholesaling

Volume buying with disciplined pricing and supplier relationships built for the long run.

  2. 02

    Distribution

Inventory, logistics and routes to market. The unglamorous machinery that decides who wins.

  3. 03

    E-commerce

Direct channels and marketplaces, run on data loops that make every order smarter than the last.

  4. 04

    Investing

Patient capital in businesses and assets with real cash flow and room to compound.

(The operating loop)

An engineer's eye for commerce.

  1. 01Source

Find the supply others overlook. Negotiate on data, not gut feel.

  2. 02Stock

Inventory as a portfolio: turns, risk and carrying cost.

  3. 03Move

Distribution engineered like a pipeline: reliable and observable.

  4. 04Sell

Omnichannel e-commerce with automation behind every order.

  5. 05Compound

Reinvest the cash flow. Repeat with a better system.
